Advocacy
Systems change across multiple sectors is required to advance equitable health, wellbeing and development outcomes for all children. Inequity is unjust, avoidable and has a greater effect on those experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage.
The Centre for Community Child Health uses evidence to advocate for children and families, and action to improve health, development and wellbeing. We link researchers, service providers, practitioners and policymakers, and provide practical guidance for decision-makers. We amplify the voices of children and families to inform policy and practice.
Examples of our advocacy work
This project uses data analysis and modelling to test different combinations of interventions to determine which ones have the greatest impact in the real world. This information is communicated to decisionmakers to inform more effective and precise policies that make a bigger impact.
Restacking the Odds aims to transform how data and evidence is used to improve outcomes for children, families and communities. By shaping policy and practice RSTO’s model helps children and families to access the right combination of high-quality, evidence-based services where and when they need them.
We are dedicated to reducing the unjust inequities that exist in children's outcomes. We bring together the evidence and expertise across sectors to inform and influence policy and systems change required at national, state and territory levels.
