How framing can build demand for equity and prevention

March 2024

In this keynote presentation from our 30-year anniversary, FrameWorks Institute (US) CEO Dr Nat Kendall-Taylor explores cultural mindsets and framing, an untapped tool that can help you to support the health and wellbeing of children and families.

Framing is about the choices we all make in how we present ideas around why an issue is important. The tool can help to influence how people think about and understand early childhood issues, how they feel about those issues and whether they engage emotionally.

Importantly, framing can help to influence how people act and the decisions they're willing to make as a result of hearing what you have to say.

As a psychological anthropologist, Nat publishes widely on communications research and leads a multidisciplinary team in conducting and implementing research on public understanding and framing of social issues.
