Engaging families: Building and sustaining helpful relationships with parents (Online)

Join our 3-hour workshop designed to explore parent engagement from the perspective of families who may be resistant to services. This workshop aims to empower practitioners to forge genuine partnerships with families, leading to the redevelopment of services in a way that truly meets the needs and expectations of the community.

This series of on-line seminars (2 x 90 minutes) is designed to equip professionals with the confidence and tools necessary engage with parents who may have find services difficult to access. 

Develop practical strategies to promote engagement within and across services and learn techniques to overcome barriers and create a welcoming environment for families.

  • Increase understanding of 'engagement' as a multifaceted term.
  • Recognise engagement as a culture of practice within services.
  • Identify worker and service characteristics that foster successful parent engagement.
  • Acquire practical strategies to promote engagement within and across services.
