Overview

The Family Partnership Model (FPM) emphasises highly skilled professional communication and structured, goal-oriented support for families. 

In this course, you’ll learn how to use the FPM Reflective Practice Handbook to guide practitioners to reflect on their work with families. This will help practitioners to uncover valuable insights that they can use to identify, plan, and implement changes in their work. Learn from and with other practitioners whilst exploring FPM as a model of reflective supervision.

The Facilitating Family Partnership Model Reflective Supervision course builds on the five-day Family Partnerships Model: Foundation course. 

  • Reflect on your personal experiences, learn to deal effectively with new supervisory situations, and find new ways of managing familiar challenges.
  • Understand the functions, processes and skills required to supervise individuals and groups using the FPM.
  • Explore the theoretical underpinnings of the FPM to support supervision.
  • Practice using the FPM Reflective Practice Handbook as a quick reference to support your ongoing supervisory practice.
  • Explore common issues and dilemmas encountered in the facilitation of reflective supervision and discover possible solutions to these

This course comprises 20 hours of online facilitated sessions and an additional 10 hours (minimum) of out of session reading and workplace practice tasks.

Participants in this course must have a strong knowledge of FPM and experience in applying the model in working with families.

Participation

All training is participatory and highly interactive. Participants attending online courses are asked to have cameras turned on throughout the sessions with a preference for one participant per screen.
